Pree~Yt Commissioner's John H. fianner, S.q. <br />Nathan, and Carl T. Durham. The minutes of the last meeting were read and <br />approved. <br />The Application of Ms~'y Vincent to retail beer at Vincent's Filling station <br />on State Highway No. 1~. having been approved by Sheriff S.T.Latta is hereby <br />granted. <br />On motion it is hereby ordered that J.~3.binnis be paid X5.00 for four sheep <br />killed by dogs, and that Lee Riley be paid X7.50 for 5 goats killed by dogs, <br />both claims to be paid frcm the Special dog Tax fund. <br />On motion of Commissioner Nathan, duly seconded by Commissorer Durham, it is <br />hereby ordered that the eapenaes of Victor ShazPe at the State Sanitarium be <br />Paid beginning Jan 1, 1937• <br />Or. motion dtt~~-aeee~ded.-e,~d-~e~#mctts~y-,seed it Ss hereby ordered that <br />that Morris olden be sarri~d to the Durham County Home as early as he is <br />admitted by the Durham County Board . <br />On motion of Commissioner Nathan, duly seconded by Commissioner Durham and <br />unanimously adopted it is hereby ordered "That the Commercial Casualty Co <br />of New Jersey be discharged from any liability on Bond #~'-670 of G.U.Ray, <br />County Acct. Covering a Period from September 1, 192ffi to S pt 1, 1933. Said <br />Cancellation from all liability from and after SP pt 1, 1935. <br />On motion of Commissioner Durham duly seconded by Com'r Nathan and unanimou_ <br />sly passed, it is hereby ordered that there be levied a County tax of X12.50 <br />pr year on all sb ~i.citors for Laundry, and other occupations covered by <br />Section 139_ Chap 371. Public Laws 1935, where the actual work is done out_ <br />side of Orange County. <br />On motion it is hereby ordered that S. Carl Forrest be allowed a reduction on <br />the assessment of the Cla}*telr property to X1500. <br />q detailed report of Miss Grace E. Holcomb, Home Demonstrator Agert with an <br />acet.,for X1.35 for material is submitted and approved and bill ordered _1 <br />paid and filed. <br />G.~.nay County Accountant_ Submitted a Budget report of all appropriations and <br />the amts,use3 to Feby 1, 1937. also report of S.T•Latta Jr, showing an uncol_ <br />lected bal on 1936 taxes, of $57,650.55 both reports approved and ordered <br />fiIDed in report book No. ~+ <br />On motior. of Commissioner Durham, duly seconded by Commr Nathan and unanimousl <br />adopted the following resolution was passed. <br />'r7hereas Orange County did on the 15th day of July 1935, issue notes <br />in the total amount of ~~50.^0 for t he purpose of payinn- for a terracing <br />outfit: Consisting of Tractor and Graders said note bearing interest at the <br />rate of sis per cent per ;annum. <br />And whereas, there is now due and unpaid on said notes a balance <br />of ~1F000.00 and it appeals to the Board that obligations of the County can be <br />saved or. a much lower interest basis. <br />Now, therefore it is hereby ordered that the Chairman and Secret <br />of the Board do execute four (4 notes of Orange County, each in the amount <br />of X1,000.00 due 1_ 2_ 3 _ & 4 yew's respectivelq from date and that said , <br />note do not bear a rate of interest in excess of four per cent per annum. <br />tY.cetr' upon the proper execution of said notes, the County Accountant is ~ <br />directed to offer the s-.me for sale through Public advertisement under the ~ <br />supervision of the State Local Goveritment Commission, and that the Proceeds <br />of said notes be used for the sole purpose of ret•tilLing the present unpaid I' <br />balance of ~u000.00 I <br /> It is futher ordered and reit~e~~t~his Board that income derived <br />from renting of said terracing equipm ent above described and which was the <br />subj ect of the notes now in question be applied to the retirement of the <br /> of notes <br /> The following names were drawn to serve ae Jurors at the ka,rch <br />Term of Orange Superior Court to_wit: <br />i.
