" RANGE COUNTYI I N <br /> r <br /> PROVIDER APPRECIATION DAY <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> WHEREAS , organizations nationwide are recognizing Child Care Providers on May 12 , <br /> 2023 , through Provider Appreciation Day ; and <br /> WHEREAS , Provider Appreciation Day is an annual celebration that affords an <br /> opportunity to recognize the contributions of child care providers to the overall health and <br /> welfare of our community and the essential role they play for our county' s working <br /> families ; and <br /> WHEREAS , the early years of a child ' s life from birth to age five is the most critical time <br /> in a child ' s development in which the brain ' s architecture is built and early learning sets <br /> the trajectory for future success ; and <br /> WHEREAS , our child care community provides critical care and education opportunities <br /> for Orange County' s young children , as well as support for social and emotional <br /> development ; and <br /> i <br /> WHEREAS , our child care community provides enrichment opportunities and nurtures <br /> development for children of all backgrounds ; and <br /> WHEREAS , our child care providers form a vital building block of our local economy <br /> supporting Orange County' s families as they work ; and <br /> WHEREAS , the COVID - 19 pandemic created tremendous hardship for child care <br /> providers and the families of Orange County who depend on them , who have continued <br /> to meet the needs of families while risking their health and financial stability to remain <br /> open ; and <br /> WHEREAS , our future depends on the quality of the early childhood experiences <br /> provided to young children today ; support for high - quality child care represents a worthy <br /> commitment to our children ' s future ; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE , we , the Orange County Board of Commissioners , hereby proclaim <br /> May 12 , 2023 , as Provider Appreciation Day , affirming the important role our child care <br /> community plays in support of our young children , their families , and our local economy , <br /> and urge all residents of Orange County to recognize child care providers for their work . <br /> This the 2 " d day of May , 2023 <br /> Ja ezett Bedford , air <br /> 17 r.
