Introductions and Announcements <br /> a. Peggy Cohn, former member & chair, recently fell and broke her wrist. We send her our best for <br /> a speedy recovery <br /> 2. Approved, with the correction to two typos and adding Jeff <br /> Charles to the list of Board Members Present <br /> 3. Any other Agenda items <br /> a. None <br /> Director's Report <br /> 4. Staff updates <br /> a. New Passmore Center Front Desk Manager <br /> i. The position has been filled. Amanda High is the new Passmore Center Front Desk <br /> Manager. She is a County employee who came to us from DEAPR <br /> 5. Project EngAGE Class Five has graduated 14 new members who completed 13 weeks of training <br /> totaling over 70 hours. <br /> 6. Mark Your Calendar for upcoming events <br /> a. Breaking the Silence and Shedding the Stigma — I'm Good Bro: Unmasking Black Male <br /> Depression - Feb. 6, 6-8:30 pm, Passmore Center <br /> b. Intergenerational Sweet Heart Social — Feb. 8, 12 noon —2 pm, Cedar Grove Community Center. <br /> c. I Voted! Now What? Policy and Advocacy Panel — Feb. 19, 3:30—5 pm, Seymour Center <br /> d. Alternate Endings: An End of Life Choices Event— Feb. 5, 4-6 pm, Seymour Center <br /> Continuing Business <br /> 7. Seymour Center Renovation Update <br /> a. Myra updated the board on the Seymour construction project. After 9 months, we received the <br /> building permits from the Town of Chapel Hill. During the next couple of weeks, the power grid <br /> and sidewalk/property boundary will be updated but will not cause power outage to the <br /> building during normal business hours. The board suggested talking with the Town of Chapel <br /> Hill about delays in permitting?Jeff suggested that the board specifically address the issue as <br /> seniors bare the cost and hardship and present our concerns to the Chapel Hill Town Manager. <br /> James shared his experience, stating that permit applications must be followed to the letter or <br /> delays will result. <br /> New Business <br /> 8. Budget Kick-off for FY 20-21 <br />
