Introductions and Announcements <br /> a. None <br /> 2. Approval of Minutes—January 14, 2020 <br /> a. Approved <br /> 3. Any other Agenda items <br /> a. None <br /> Director's Report <br /> 4. Staff updates <br /> a. Annie Deaver's last day— February 14. We are sad to see her go but wish her well. <br /> b. Aging Transitions Administrator position has been posted and closed. Interviews tomorrow, <br /> Feb. 12. Vibeke will be on the interview team. Interviewing 3 candidates (2 internal). 3 <br /> interviews, 2 internal candidates. <br /> c. New interns <br /> i. CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) intern —Cindy Bucy. Cindy is connected with UNC <br /> Health Care and has been involved with community for years. <br /> ii. NCCU Therapeutic Recreation Interns— Marquetta Edwards and Kyra Colson. One intern <br /> will be working with Latonya, one with Cyd. The 40 hour internships are much needed. <br /> iii. Partnerships in Aging Interns—Annelise Slater-In Praise of Age and Eva Bauer- <br /> Communications. Working with both to do a summer practicum as well. <br /> 5. NC Association on Aging Annual Conference— March 5-6 <br /> b. Three presentations by OCDoA: Project EngAGE, Dementia Friendly Business Campaign, and <br /> Ryan Lavalley will present his dissertation findings on, "Occupations of a Living Community: <br /> Social Transformation of a Senior Center Welcoming Spanish-Speaking Older Adult Immigrants." <br /> 6. Just a few programming highlights—Check new Senior Times for a complete listing of events. <br /> a. Breaking the Silence and Shedding the Stigma — I'm Good Bro: Unmasking Black Male <br /> Depression— Rescheduled for Feb. 13 6-8:30 p.m. Passmore Center <br /> b. I Voted! Now What? Policy and Advocacy Panel — Feb. 19 3:30—5 p.m. Seymour Center (Dick on <br /> the panel) <br /> c. Faith Based Outreach Quarterly Breakfast— March 3—9-11 a.m. UNC Healthcare— Hillsborough <br /> Campus (Census presentation) <br /> Continuing Business <br /> 7. Seymour Center Renovation Update— Parking continues to be a problem, especially now with VITA and <br /> early voting. Per our construction agreement we will always keep 102 parking spaces, but they will be <br /> moving around during construction. Asking staff to park at SHSC. September inside construction <br /> begins. Completion date: Nov. 19 <br />
