Minutes of the Hoard of Conmdsaioners <br />September 8, 1959 <br />The Orange County Board oT CormSSaioners met is regular session on Monday, September B, 1959, <br />at ten o'clock A. M. in the Cocmnisslonera' room at the courthouse in Hillsboro, N. C. <br />Members present: Chairman R, J. M. Hobbs, Commissioners Clarence Jones, Donald A:c-ade, <br />Donald Stanford and Henry Ylalker. <br />Members absent: Nona <br />The minutes of the previous meetings xere read by the Clerk and approved by the Hoard. <br />The folloxing Department Officials presented reports for the month of August, 1959: <br />Frank Frederick, Delinquent Tax Collector <br />Don Matheson, .Ed Barnes and 0. A. Green, County Agents <br />Sherman Shelton, Negro Farm Agent <br />Lucius M. Cheshire, Asat, Clerk oT Court <br />Sane Parker, 4lelfare Superintendent <br />Cache Bo;*gs, County Dog Warden <br />Malone Long, Deputy Sheriff <br />hire. Parker presented the request of r.i itte Riley, vho is an old age recioiont, to se11 txo acres <br />of her property xhich is new covered by a lien for $125.DD. <br />Upon motion of Cwmnissiomr ilalker, seconded by Conmdesloaer McDade and unanimously adopted, <br />Mrs. Riley was given permission to sell. 2 acres of her property. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Stanford, seconded by Conwissioner Jones and unanimauslyy adopted, <br />Joe Ashley, vho had petitioned the Hoard at the August meeting for permission to sell some of his <br />property, xas authorized to sell 8 acres xhich is located on the north aide of David Road in <br />Hillsboro Toxnship. <br />The tollawing road petitions were presented and the Clerk xas requested to mail same oa to the <br />State Highway Co~mnissian: <br />1. Roexl located in Hillsboro runs Srom the rata track road in circle and is known sa Harper Road. <br />2.
