JORDAN LAKE PARTNERSHIP <br /> SUPPLEMENTAL ARTICLE No. 5 <br /> Regional Interconnections Study, Phase 2 <br /> Pursuant to Section 5 of the Memorandum of Understanding Supporting a Regional Water <br /> Supply Partnership for Water Supply Planning and Potential Joint Use of B. Everett Jordan <br /> Reservoir dated March 16, 2009 (MOU),this Supplemental Article No. 5 defines the terms <br /> under which the Regional Interconnections Study,Phase 2 will be undertaken by the Jordan <br /> Lake Partnership. The signatories to this Supplemental Article agree to reimburse the Lead <br /> Contractual Agency for actual costs incurred, according to cost shares defined below,up to the <br /> total cost shown. <br /> Project Lead Agency: Town of Cary <br /> Lead Contractual Agency: City of Durham <br /> Project Scope: The project scope is described in the Jordan Lake Partnership Potable Water <br /> Interconnection Study Phase 2: Hydraulic Modeling Proposal, from Hazen and Sawyer dated <br /> March 12, 2013 (Attachment A). The project scope includes all tasks, except Task 2.3 (Analyze <br /> flow between Cary and Chatham County). <br /> Project Cost: The total project cost without Task 2.3 is $446,040. Attachment A. defines the <br /> scope of the project in detail. <br /> Chatham County: Should Chatham County choose to participate in the Regional <br /> Interconnections Study,Phase 2 after this Supplemental Article No. 5 has been executed; <br /> Chatham County would sign Supplemental Article No. 5 as an Optional Participant. Task 2.3 <br /> would then be added to the project scope and the total project cost with Task 2.3 would be <br /> $481,320. Chatham County's cost share would be $24,560. <br /> Project Management Team: The Project Management Team will be made up of one <br /> representative, appointed by the Manager or Executive Director, from each of the signatories. <br /> Signatory Cost Shares: 15 percent of the total cost will be shared equally among the <br /> participating partners (base participation). The remaining 85 percent will be split according to the <br /> relative interests participating partners have in each task(task participation). Base cost and task <br /> costs differ depending on whether Chatham County participates(see Table 1). Participant <br /> signatories agree to each pay up to the larger cost share that depends upon Chatham County's <br /> participation, as defined in Table 2.
