Please return this copy to the Clerk's to the Board's <br /> -office for permanent agenda file. <br /> STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br /> COUNTY OF ORANGE <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> AN AGREEMENT made and entered into as of the 21 st day of June, 2012 by and between the <br /> TOWN OF CARRBORO, a North Carolina municipality with its principal offices at 301 West Main <br /> Street, Carrboro, North Carolina, 27510 (the "Town"), and The County of Orange by and through its <br /> Orange County RSVP 55+ Volunteer Program, a body politic and corporate of the State of North <br /> Carolina, with its principal office located at Seymour Center, 2551 Homestead Rd. Chapel Hill, NC <br /> 27516 (the "Grantee"). <br /> Whereas, the Grantee, has requested an appropriation from the Town of Carrboro; and <br /> Whereas, the Town has determined that said Grantee will perform for and on behalf of the <br /> Town certain services that the Town itself is authorized by law to perform, and has therefore indicated <br /> its approval of this request of $1400.00 by an appropriation in the budget ordinance for fiscal year <br /> 2012-13 as amended; and <br /> Whereas, the Town of Carrboro desires to insure that funds will be used for the purposes <br /> intended by the Town in making this appropriation and for no other purposes; and <br /> Whereas, the Grantee agrees and promises to abide by the conditions set forth in this <br /> Agreement. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, based on the mutual promises herein and other good and valuable <br /> consideration the sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the Town and the Grantee agree as <br /> follows: <br /> 1. Grantee will perform the following services and or achieve the following according to <br /> any time schedules therein provided: Funds will be used to support RSVP 55+ Volunteer <br /> Program. <br /> 2. Funds may be released monthly, quarterly, or according to any other schedule deemed <br /> appropriate by the Town's Director of Economic and Community Development. Grantee shall submit a <br /> written request for each fund distribution, and any such request shall contain a certification that the <br /> Grantee shall use the funds received only to provide the services described. <br /> 3. Not later than March 31 st of the current fiscal year or at the time of application for new <br /> funds the Grantee shall account to the Town of Carrboro for the use of the funds appropriated by the <br /> Town by (I) furnishing a detailed description, quantified to the extent practicable, of the extent to <br /> which the Grantee has performed services for or on behalf of the Town of Carrboro or its citizens <br /> during this fiscal year, and (II) providing the Town with a copy of Grantee's most recent audit, <br /> financial statement, or other financial information requested by the Town. For recipients not requesting <br /> new funds a report shall be submitted to the Town of Carrboro furnishing a detailed description, <br /> quantified to the extent practicable, of the extent to which such grantee has performed services for or <br /> on the behalf of the Town of Carrboro or.its citizens during this fiscal year, and providing the Town <br /> with a copy of Grantee's most recent audit, financial statement, or other financial information requested <br /> by Town. In addition, the recipient agrees to allow the Town to inspect its financial books and records <br /> upon reasonable notice during normal working hours. <br /> 1 <br />
