Location Map <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Craig Benedict, Planning Director, <br />245- 2592 <br />Gene Bell, Planning Systems <br />Coordinator, 245-2589 <br />PURPOSE: To consider the legal advertisement for items to be presented at the Joint Planning <br />Area Public Hearing scheduled for May 11, 2006, <br />BACKGROUND: The Board of County Commissioners reviews proposals to be considered at <br />public hearing for consistency with general County policy and presentation format, The <br />following item is proposed for consideration at the May 11, 2006 Joint Planning Area Public <br />Hearing. <br />1. Chapel Hill Joint Planning Area Transition Area Zoning Atlas Amendment <br />Purpose: To hear public comment on a proposed rezoning of 10,431 square feet pf property <br />on the east of Rogers Road and south of Zieger Lane within the Chapel Hill portion of the <br />Joint Planning Transition Area, The rezoning proposal, requested by Habitat for Humanity <br />of Orange County, is to increase the land area of Lot 3 Rusch Hollow from 5,045 square feet <br />to 15,477 square feet by adding adjacent lands, <br />Other lands have previously been rezoned to accommodate a Habitat for Humanity project <br />of over 12 lots and this rezoning is intended to add enough land to accommodate a planned <br />triplex. <br />Action: Zoning Atlas Amendment <br />From: Residential-1 <br />To: Residential-Special Standards-Conditional (R-SS-C) <br />Size: 10,431 square feet <br />Location: Between Zieger Lane and Rusch Road <br />Identification: Chapel Hill Township, Tax Map 23, Black D, Lot 17 <br /> <br />
