From <br />fighting racism in his younger years during the early 1960s to driving campaign finance reform <br />today, Bob Hall has improved the Iccal democratic process. As a resident of Orange County, <br />he has been appointed by the BOCG to serve on the Economic Development Commission, the <br />Jury Commission, and the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Committee. Bob Hall has provided <br />research to bring to light the use of special-interest money in U.S. Senate races, hog farming, <br />and road-building and continues, to this day, to fight to improve campaign funding regulations, <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board adapt the attached <br />resolution recognizing Bob Hall for community volunteer involvement and his active role in <br />campaign finance reform across the State of North Carolina, <br />
