Tinney <br /> TELEPHONE NUMBER: Ext. 2669 <br /> Hillsborough - 732-8181 <br /> Chapel Hill - 968-4501 <br /> Mebane - 227-2031 <br /> Durham - 688-7331 <br /> PURPOSE: <br /> Tb request that the Orange County Board of Commissioners proclaim the week of March 25- <br /> 30, 1993, as Orange County Senior Games Events Days, and encourage citizens over the age <br /> of 55 to participate in the Games. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Orange County Senior Games is a year-round wellness program for persons age 55 or older, <br /> sponsored by Orange County Recreation & Parks, Orange County Department on Aging, Chapel <br /> Hill Parks and Recreation, and Carrboro Recreation & Parks. The program is funded through <br /> these agencies, through donations received from the community, and through participant fees. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : <br /> The Manager recommends that the Board of Commissioners proclaim the week of March 25-30, 1993 <br /> as Orange County Senior Games Events Week. <br />
