BOCC Retreat Follow-up on the Established Goals and Priorities <br /> Bonnie Hammersley said this is an opportunity to review information and fine tune the <br /> goals and priorities/updates discussed at the January 29th retreat, which she will use as she <br /> moves forward with the operating budget and the Capital Investment Plan (CIP). <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> Board of Orange County Commissioners (BOCC) <br /> BOCC RETREAT FOLLOW-UP <br /> GOALS AND PRIORITIES <br /> BOCC RETREAT FOLLOW-UP <br /> Goal 1: Ensure a community network of basic human services and infrastructure that <br /> maintains, protects, and promotes the well being of all county residents. <br /> 1) AFFORDABLE HOUSING (5 VOTES) <br /> • Decent, standard housing options for all residents regardless of household income <br /> level. <br /> • Funds to develop targeted number of units (set numerical goal). <br /> • Develop explicit plan to inform bond expenditures and other BOCC affordable housing <br /> funding. <br /> 2) FAMILY SUCCESS ALLIANCE (FSA) (3 VOTES) <br /> • Additional support to expand FSA <br /> • All County departments coordinate with efforts of FSA <br /> 2) COMMUNITY CENTERS (3 VOTES) <br /> • Decentralize community resources through community centers <br /> • Provide food, hot meals, and essential services to residents in need. <br />
