M., in the Commissioners' Room et <br />,the Courthouse, in ASlleboro, North Carolina. <br />Members present: Collier Cobb, Jr., Chairman; R. 0. Forreet and Sim L. <br />Eflnnd, Commies Sonars. <br />Members abeam: None. <br />The minutes of the March meetings xere reed and approved. <br />There xere several road petitions presented, requesting roads in different <br />eeotione of the oounty. <br />Aotion xae defarrod oa the petitions, until the Board can make an Snveeti~• <br />gatlon of each road. <br />Chairman Cobb read the Grand Sury report on the March Term of Superior <br />IIpon motion of Commie sionar Forrest, eeconded by Commissioner Efiand, it <br />wen ordered that E. A. Brady be paid ~`2.H0 for four chickens killed by doge. <br />IIpon motion of Commissioner Eflnnd, eeoonded by Commiaeioner Forreet, Mr. <br />Luke L. Conner Sa hereby appointed ae a member of the Chapel Hill Zoning <br />Commieaion Enlarged, for a term of 3 years beginning April 9, 1952. <br />The Board voted to meet xith the Orange County Board of Publ is Ylelfare <br />on April 28, 1952. <br />IIpon motion of Commie sionar Eflnnd, eeconded by Commissioner Forrest, it <br />was ordered that the Aid to Blind Grant of Sophroaia Sykes be increased from <br />$30.00 per month to ~33.0G per month. <br />IIpon motlon of Comml se loner Forreet, eeconded by Commissioner Eflnnd, the <br />following persona were approved for ASd to Blind Grants: <br />Annie VSnoent approved Tor S$.00 par month <br />Nanny Thomsa approved Par x`$.00 par month. <br />Mien Annie Strowd, Superlntendant of Public Welfare, pre eented the 1952- <br />1953 Aid to Blind budget of x`8,064.00. Approprlation requested from County <br />funds, $1,472.1}0. <br />IIpon motlon duly made and eeoonded, the above budget was tentatively <br />approved. <br />Npon motion duly made and seconded, St xas ordered that the salary of the <br />Aaeiatant Clerk of Superior Court be increased from x`200.00 per month to $225• <br />per month, retroactive to March 1, 1952• <br />The following names were drawn to serve sa Jurors at the May Term oP <br />Superior Court: <br />1. idacon J.
