Gordon, Earl McKee, Bernadette Pelissier, Renee Price, and Penny Rich <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: <br /> COUNTY ATTORNEYS PRESENT: <br /> COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: Interim County Manager Michael Talbert and Assistant County <br /> Managers Clarence Grier, Cheryl Young and Clerk to the Board Donna Baker (All other staff <br /> members will be identified appropriately below) <br /> NOTE: ALL DOCUMENTS REFERRED TO IN THESE MINUTES ARE IN THE PERMANENT <br /> AGENDA FILE IN THE CLERK'S OFFICE. <br /> 1. Openinq Remarks <br /> Chair Jacobs called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Price to add <br /> Approving the County Manager's Employment Contract item to the agenda. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS (6-0) (Commissioner porosin had not arrived yet) <br /> a. Approvinq the County Manaqer's Employment Contract <br /> The Board considered approving the County Manager's Employment Contract <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner Price to <br /> approve the County Manager's Employment Contract. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> Commissioner porosin arrived. <br /> Chair Jacobs welcomed Bonnie Hammersley. <br /> Bonnie Hammersley said it is her pleasure and honor to begin her service as County <br /> Manager. She looks forward to working with the Board and staff in the coming months and <br /> years on the issues and challenges before them. She hopes to work with government partners <br /> to find cost effective solutions to concerns, while exploring opportunities to strengthen the <br /> County's economic and financial base. <br /> Chair Jacobs said he and the Board appreciate the opportunity to work with Bonnie <br /> Hammersley. <br /> Commissioner Gordon welcomed Bonnie Hammersley and praised her many years of <br /> experience. <br /> Commissioner McKee added his welcome and said Bonnie Hammersley's experience in <br /> other parts of the country will come in handy in Orange County. <br />
