December 6, 2012 Assembly of <br /> Governments Meeting Abstract - <br /> Greene Tract Historical Information <br /> and Options <br /> PURPOSE: To review recommendations from the County and Town Managers regarding <br /> Rogers Road Sewer and Community Outreach to implement improvements in the Historic Rogers <br /> Road Neighborhood. <br /> BACKGROUND: Attachment 1, the November 21, 2013 report from the Historic Rogers Road <br /> Neighborhood Task Force to the BOCC, provides background for this agenda item. <br /> TASK FORCE RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> September 17, 2013 <br /> 1. That that the Cost associated with the Community Center and Sewer Improvements will be <br /> shared 14% Carrboro, 43% Chapel Hill and 43% Orange County. <br /> 2. That the Sewer Concept Plan presented by Orange Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA) <br /> in 2012 to serve 86 parcels at an estimated cost of $5.8 million should be funded by <br /> Carrboro, Chapel Hill, and Orange County in proportion to the recommended cost sharing. <br /> The first phase of the construction should include segments 5, 6, and 8 at an estimated <br /> cost of$3.7 million, serving 67 parcels.
