Board of County Commissioners <br /> Tuesday, May 18, 1954 <br /> _. <br /> The Board of Commissioners met in joint session with the Boar-d of Welfare, <br /> on Tuesday, May 18, 195L at 7:30 o'clock P.M. for a special meeting at the <br /> Courthouse with all members of the Board present. <br /> The Superintendent of Public Welfare, Miss Annie Strowd, and Henry S. <br /> Hogan and henry S. ,h'alker, members of the County Welfare Board, were present <br /> -- and presented a proposed Welfare Budget for the fiscal year 1954-55. <br /> The Commissioners approved as the County+s portion of the Welfare Budget <br /> the following amounts: <br /> OAA $13,000.00 <br /> ADC 9,286.00 <br /> APTD 2,600.00 <br /> The Commissioners also approved the transfer of Welfare funds from the <br /> OAA fund to the ADC and APTD fund in necessary amounts to cover the expected <br /> deficit in the two latter funds for the fiscal year 1953-54• <br /> Commissioner Hobbs offered the following resolution which was seconded <br /> by Commissioner Efland and passed with three affirmative votes by the Board: <br /> Pursuant to Chapter 827 of the Session Laws of 1953, the Commissioners <br /> authorize and direct the County Accountant to pay into the general fund all <br /> and any part of taxes, which when collected, are more than two years delinquent <br /> There being no further business, upon motion, adjourned. <br /> S.
