Minutes of Board of County Commissioners <br /> July 10,1944 at 8:00 o'clock P.M. <br /> Present, Collier Cobb, Jr., Chairman, Ben F. Wilson and Hubert G <br /> Laws, Commissioners; A. H. Graham, County Attorney and G. W. Ray, County <br /> Accountant. <br /> This was ant' adjourned meeting held for the purpose of giving <br /> careful consideration to the,Budget estimates of the various County <br /> departments which were submitted to the Board at .their regular meet- <br /> ing of July 3, 1944. <br /> On motion of Commissioner Wilson, duly seconded by Commissioner <br /> Laws, the following motion was unanimously adopted: <br /> That whereas, this Board has discussed the fiscal budget for the <br /> year 1944-1945 and has agreed upon tentative figures in said budget, but <br /> final adoption thereof has been postponed until the regular meeting in <br /> August, 1944, in order that said tentative budget may be duly published; <br /> and <br /> Whereas, it Is necessary and proper that fixed salaries, principal <br /> and Interest of Indebtedness, stated compensation of officers and <br /> employees, and usual ordinary expenses of the county and its subdivis- <br /> ions may be promptly paid: <br /> Now, therefore, it is hereby ordered that the following Interim <br /> appropriations be made: <br /> To the General Fund $1,800.00 <br /> To Public Welfare Fund 4,400.00 <br /> To Sal&ries and Fees 2,000.00 <br /> To Courts and Jails 100.00 <br /> To School Fund 1,500.00 <br /> The County Accountant is authorized and directed to-pay current <br /> ordinary espenses against the funds above listed not exceeding the amounts] <br /> of the appropriations hereby made. Said appropriations made by this resolW- <br /> tion shall be chairgeable to the several appropriations respectively here- <br /> after made in the annual appropriations resolution and adoption of annual <br /> bu(!p7et for the year 1944- 1945, which will be done at the regular August <br /> meeting of,this Board. <br /> There being no further business, upon motion, adjourned. <br /> Collier Cobb, Jr. <br /> J.
