The Board mot at 10:00 o'clock A. M. in the building now used as High- <br />way Patrol office, present, Collier Cobb, Jr. Chairman, Ben F. 19ilson and <br />Hubert G. Laws, Commissioners. <br />This meeting was held as a Board of Equalization and Review to hear any <br />complaints of property owners as to their assessments. <br />There were a few complaints brought to the attention of the Board during <br />the morning session, after which the Board spent the remainder of the day <br />investigating road petitions. <br />The following petitions were approved and ordered sent to the State <br />Highway & Public Yorks Commission for their consideration: <br />Road at Efland, N. C. running from the railroad via. colored elementary <br />school to Highway No. 70. <br />Seven- tenths of a mile of the In mile road in Cedar Grove Township <br />running through the farms of Poteat and others. <br />Road in Cedar Grove Township, running from Whits Oak Colored Church in <br />a Biesterly direction to the Yebane Road, a distance of 2�, miles. <br />Dr. 0. D. Garvin and Sheriff S. T. Latta appeared before the Board and <br />discussed the enforcement of the State Law pertaining to dog vaccination for <br />rabies in the County. It was estimated that the necessary advertising prior <br />to and during the vaccination period in four weekly newspapers would cost <br />approximately Three hundred and fifty dollars ($350.00).
