P <br />~~~ <br />Minutae of the Hoard of Commisa3onera <br />Tuesday September 7,1948 <br />The Board met at 10:00 o~clock A. M. in the Commi asioner~e Roam at the <br />Courthouse. Present: Collian Cobb, Jr., Chairman, Hen F. Wilson and Aubert <br />G. Lewe, Commieaionere. .. <br />'II'he ma?autea of the August mee tinge ware read and 9pproved. <br />Mr.Julie representing Fldeli ty end Bonding Comp¢ny appeared and talked <br />with reference to the County taking Burglary and Robert' Insurance on the <br />several county offices. No action wes taken. <br />A letter was read from 3?r. Charles Brame of Eno Township, Orange County <br />requesting the State Highway & Public Works Commission to delete faom the <br />Sta to Road System that part of a dead end road, known as the Cabe Ford Road <br />that serves only hie property, same being about seven-tenths of a mile in <br />length. <br />Now, Therefore, be it resolved, and the Board of County Commie sinners, <br />hereby npprove and request that the State Ai ghway & Public Works Commission <br />delete from the State"Road System that part of a dead and road, known as <br />Cabe Ford Road that serves only the property of Mr. Charles Brame. <br />The following applicati one for licenee to retail beer in Orange County, <br />were upon motion, approved. <br />~, Gordon A. Noyes. <br />', Clnrance N. Gray. <br />', Robert Shaw, Jr. and Jemae Williams, Jr. <br />Don 5. idatheson, Orange County Farm Agent appeared and reported on <br />the general farming condi bone Sn the county. Re stated that the Army worms <br />which were working some eectl one, could be a serious threat to pnsturea <br />sea alraxra. <br />Hpon motl on, the Hoard approved a peti tSon for the improvement of a <br />road in Chapel Ai11 TownahSp, sunningsfrom Farrington Aoad to Chatham <br />County line and (mown ae Old Lyetra Aoad, said ro¢d being about two miles <br />in length. Said petition was ordered sent to the State Aighway 4 Public <br />SYorks Commlea ion for their conalderatSon. <br />Mr. Sydney Green,Cha irman of the Hoard of Directors of the Hyconae- <br />chee Raglanal Library Inc. appeared"and stated that eny appronria bons <br />+he County has made for libraxg purposes will be pdid to-.Hycoive aches <br />Regional Library, Inc., ?pat sad of to the Hillsboro Confedern to Memorial <br />Library as has heretofore been the cue tom. Ae also stated that Ire A. Ward <br />and G. T.
