The attached <br />budget amendment on page 3 of this abstract appropriates Commissioners' Contingency funds for <br />this purpose. <br />2) The Board of County Commissioners approved a funding request from the Orange Community <br />Housing Corporation on April 21, 1998. The funds, totaling $19,000, allow the Corporation to <br />cover a budget shortfall related to attorney fees incurred with the Magnolia Place development. <br />The attached budget amendment on page 3 of this abstract appropriates Commissioners' <br />Contingency funds for this purpose. <br />3) Information Technology Capital Project <br />At the April 21, 1998 Board meeting, the County Commissioners approved funding for the next <br />phase of work to be undertaken in the 1997 -98 County's Technology Plan. This phase, totaling <br />$349,435, includes funds to address three of the five Information Technology Plan initiatives <br />including County Network, Desktop Systems, and Citizen and Board Access. The attached <br />Information Technology Capital Project Ordinance on page 4 of this agenda <br />abstract appropriates these funds. The combined cost of the 85 new PCs approved by the <br />Board to complete the first phase of the County's PC replacement policy will exceed the <br />Purchasing Director's threshold of $20,000 for approving purchase orders.
