~a4a <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />CONTINUED MEETING FROM 6/17/86 <br />JUNE 18, 1986 <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in continued session <br />on June 18, 1986, 7:30 p.m. in the Board Room at Lincoln Center, <br />Carrboro, North Carolina. <br />BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Chair Don Willhoit and Commissioners <br />Shirley Marshall, Moses Carey, Ben Lloyd and Norman Walker. <br />STAFF PRESENT: County Manager Kenneth R. Thompson, Assistant <br />County Manager Albert Kittrell, Director of Finance Gordon Baker, <br />Purchasing Director Pam Jones, Budget Analyst Donna Wagner and Director <br />of Personnel Beverly Whitehead. <br />APPOINTMENTS <br />ABC BOARD <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Carey, Seconded by <br />Commissioner Marshall to reappoint Mary Howes to the ABC Board. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />COMMISSION FOR WOMEN <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Carey, seconded by <br />Commissioner Marshall to reappoint Sally Mars hall, Ev a Metzger and <br />Miriam Saxon and to appoint Eva Pierce Clontz and Velma M. Ferrell to <br />the Commission for women. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Lloyd, seconded by <br />Commissioner Carey to reappoint John Gastineau and Paul Williams and <br />appoint Lynn Wilson to the Economic Development Commission. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />BOARD OF HEALTH <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Carey, seconded by <br />Commissioner Marshall to reappoint Dr. Philip Singer and Dr. Eugene <br />Howden to the Board of Health. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Carey, seconded by <br />Commissioner willhait to reappoint Shirley Marshall to the Board of <br />Social Services. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />COUNTY SENIOR CITIZENS BOARD <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Carey, seconded by <br />Commissioner Marshall to reappoint Shirley Marshall, Lula Mae Cotton and <br />Rev. Richard Hildebrandt and to appoint Catherine Peele to the County <br />Senior Citizens Board. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />DOMICILIARY HOME COMMUNITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Marshall, seconded by <br />Commissioner Carey to reappoint Maggie Lee and Linda Rahija to the <br />Domiciliary Home Community Advisory Committee. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />
