~1 ~S - ~av ~-- vat <br />z-G - a ~ <br />5~ <br />RESOLUTION <br />Whereas, the Orange County Partnership to End Homelessness was <br />formed in March 2005 to institute a countywide effort that will culminate in the <br />development and implementation of a Ten-Year Plan to End Homelessness in <br />Orange County; and <br />Whereas, the North Carolina Interagency Council for Coordinating <br />Homeless Programs (ICCHP} supports local communities in developing and <br />implementing 10 Year Plans to End Homelessness; and <br />Whereas, ICCHP has announced the availability of funds to facilitate <br />technical assistance activities for communities engaged in the 10 Year Plan <br />process; and <br />Whereas, the Orange County Partnership to End Homelessness Steering <br />Committee endorsed submission of an application for funding for technical <br />assistance activities at its January 24, 2007 meeting and charged the working <br />group with developing the document; and <br />Whereas, Orange County is a member of the Partnership to End <br />Homelessness and can serve as an applicant for this funding; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved, that the Orange County Board of <br />County Commissioners hereby authorize the Chair of the Board to execute the <br />application documents required by the N.C. Interagency Council for Coordinating <br />Homeless Programs for the 10 Year Plan to End Homelessness Technical <br />Assistance Facilitator. <br />This, the 6th day of February 2007. <br />
