APPROVED 6/5/95 MINUTES <br />APRIL 3, 1995 <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on <br />Monday, April 3, 1995 at 5:30 p.m. at the Pleasant Green Community Center in <br />Eno Township, Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br />COUNTY COI~SISSIONERS PRESENT: Chair Moses Carey, Jr., and Commissioners <br />William L. Crowther, Alice M. Gordon, Stephen H. Halkiotis and Don Willhoit <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY PRESENT: Geoffrey Gledhill <br />COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: County Manager John M. Link, Jr., Assistant <br />County Managers Albert Kittrell and Rod Visser, Deputy Clerk to the Board <br />Kathy Baker and Clerk to the Board Beverly A. Blythe (other staff members are <br />identified appropriately below <br />NOTE: All documents referred to in these minutes are in the permanent agenda <br />file in the Clerk's Office. All amendments to ordinances are in the <br />official Ordinance Book located in the Commissioners' Library. <br />I. ADDITIONS OR CHANGES TO THE AGENDA <br />Chair Carey added to the agenda a proclamation designating April 22-29 <br />as Orange County Pre-School Immunization Week. <br />With regards to item IX-A, the Board will vote on all the amendments to <br />the Educational Facilities Impact Fee Ordinance, leaving the amount at $750.00 <br />until after the public hearing scheduled for May 25 at 7:30 in Superior <br />Courtroom. <br />II. AUDIENCE COMN~NTS <br />A. MATTERS ON THE PRINTED AGENDA - NONE <br />B. MATTERS NOT ON THE PRINTED AGENDA <br />1. Community Concerns <br />Mr. Edwards from the Orange County Farm Bureau explained that <br />he will be videotaping some of the County Commissioner meetings so that <br />members of the Farm Bureau could stay informed on the issues. <br />PUBLIC CHARGE <br />Chair Carey dispensed with the reading of the public charge. <br />III. BOARD COMN~NTS <br />Commissioner Crowther asked about the number of cellular towers in <br />Orange County. The Orange County Planning Department will provide him a <br />report. <br />Chair Carey announced that the County received grant funds for <br />implementation of the Criminal Justice Partnership Act. .Orange and Chatham <br />
