• 'e <br />1 <br />APPROVED 5_ f 17 f 9 4 <br />MINUTES <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 4, 1994 <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on <br />Monday, April 4, 1994 at 5:30 p.m. at the Pleasant Green Community Center in <br />Eno Township, Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chair Moses Carey, Jr., (arrived at 6:30) <br />and Commissioners Stephen H. Halkiotis, Alice M. Gordon, Verla C. Insko and <br />Don Willhoit. <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY PRESENT: Geoffrey Gledhill <br />COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: County Manager John M. Link, Jr., Assistant <br />County Managers Albert Kittrell and Rod Visser, Economic Development Director <br />Ted Abernathy, Clerk to the Board Beverly A. Blythe, Human Resources Analyst <br />II Lana Chandra, Planning Director Marvin Collins, Human Resources Director <br />Elaine Holmes, Recreation and Parks Director Bob Jones, Commission for Women <br />Director Lucy Lewis, Public Health Nursing Director Eileen Kugler, <br />Transportation Planner Slade McCalip, Home Economist Alice Pettitt, Land <br />Records Manager Roscoe Reeve, Health Director Dan Reimer and Management <br />Analyst Sharron Siler <br />NOTE: All documents referred to in these minutes are in the permanent agenda <br />file in the Clerk's Office. <br />I. ADDITIONS OR CHANGES TO THE AGENDA <br />One appointment was added to the agenda for the Criminal Justice <br />Facility Study Committee. The appointments to the Orange County Planning <br />Board for the Hillsborough representative and the Orange County Board of <br />Adjustment were removed. <br />II. AUDIENCE COMMENTS <br />A. MATTERS ON THE PRINTED AGENDA <br />Vice-Chair Stephen Halkiotis said that citizens who want to speak <br />on an item on the printed agenda will be recognized at the appropriate time. <br />B. MATTERS NOT ON THE PRINTED AGENDA <br />Lee Rafalow distributed information on a program to be held on <br />Saturday, April 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on sustainable communities. <br />1. Community Concerns - NONE <br />PUBLIC CHARGE <br />Vice-Chair Stephen Halkiotis dispensed with the reading of the Public <br />Charge. <br />
