PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS <br /> 1. Voluntary Farmland Preservation ordinance <br /> a. Section V-B-1 - Requirements for Inclusion ire a Voluntary <br /> Agricultural District <br /> The item was chaired by Commissioner Carey and presented by Marvin <br /> Collins; In summary this item was presented in order to receive citizen comment <br /> on a proposed amendment to the Voluntary Farmland Preservation. Program ordinance. <br /> When the Voluntary Farmland Preservation Program Ordinance was enacted in March <br /> 1992 , the minimum size of an agricultural district was set at: <br /> 1. At least 155 contiguous acres of certified qualifying farmland; or <br /> 29 At least two or more certified qualifying farms, contiguous to each <br /> other, which will create a district of not less than 155 acres. <br /> On September 22 , 1992 , the ordinance was amended to reduce the minimum size of <br />
