- -- - - - - - <br />_. <br />..- <br />--- <br />~: <br />~= ~ , ~•, . <br />~_ <br />-~.~~, <br />MINUTES <br />FEBRUARY 26, 1981 <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in special session <br />'-• on February 26, 1981, at 7:30 P.M., in the Commissioners` Raam, Orange <br />_.._ County Courthouse, Hillsborough,. North Carolina. <br />Commissioners present: Commissioner Anne Barnes, Chair, and Com- <br />missioners Norman Walker, Richard Whined and Oon Willhait. <br />Commissioners absent: Commissioner Norman Gustaveson. ~ _ <br />Commissioner Barnes presided over the meeting which was to continue <br />work on the Land Use Plan on under consideration by the County .and an <br />executive session on personnel. The Board continued where it had left <br />off on February 16, 1981. <br />Goal 9: <br />Commissioner Barnes asked Mr. Polatty what the status of the .]Dint <br />Planning Agreement was at present; he replied that Chapel Hi11 and <br />Carrbaro had passed it while OWASA's attorneys had it under scrutiny: <br />~- Goal 10: <br />The Board gave no direction on this goal. <br />Goal 11: <br />The Board directed the planning staff to delete the reference to <br />State Legislation and to check to see what the barriers referred to in <br />this goal might be according to State Statutes. <br />Goal 12: <br />Mr. Polatty said they had deleted reference to a specific airport <br />in section 12.5. The Board expressed a consensus that Planning change <br />i section 12.6 to require that DOT do the reassessment on the proposed I-4D. <br />Goal 13: <br />I <br />The Board directed the planning staff to remove "very large subdivision" <br />and indicated that it should use whatever code Orange County uses when it <br />refers to subdivisions. <br />~ Goal 14: <br />Commissioner Whitted suggested that this goal did not belong in a land <br />
