M. in the Commissioners' Room, Orange <br />County Courthouse, in Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br />Commissioners Present: Commissioner Anne Barnes, Chair, and Commissioners <br />Norman Gustaveson, Norman Walker, Richard Whitted and pon Willhoit. <br />Commissioners Absent: None <br />Commissioner Barnes called the meeting to order. <br />Agenda Item 1:Board Modification of Agenda <br />~,. - - - <br />Commissioner Barnes announced,.a`r- agenda addendum and asked that it be <br />considered prior to Agenda Item ~1.2,. Executive Session, and after Agenda Item 11, <br />the staff presentation of office rearrangements. <br />Agenda Item 2: Audience Comments <br />A. There were no comments about matters not on this agenda from the <br />audience. <br />Agenda Item 3: Will the Board Ado tan Ordinance to <br />Grant a Franc ise to Village Cable of <br />Orange County,_Tnc., to Construct and <br />Maintain a Cable Television S stem <br />it in the Unincorporated Areas of <br />Orange_,County, N~ G.? <br />Commissioner Willhoit moved to adopt the prdinance granting a Franchise <br /> r- <br /> L , <br /> <br />~~: <br />to Village Cable of Orange County, Inc., to construct and maintain a Cable <br />Television System within the unincorporated areas of Orange County, N. C., <br />at this, the second reading of the Franchise. Commissioner Gustaveson <br />seconded the motion. Vote: Ayes, 5; Noes, 0. <br />Agenda Item 4: The Mana er Recommends Board Endorsement <br />of Two Requestsfor_Supp_1_e_mental Funding <br />from the State JJOP Council <br />A. Tree House Week-end Counselor $2,775 <br />B. Janus House Liaison Worker 2,000 <br />The County Manager told the Board the State had notified his office <br />there was $70,000 available for supplemental funding and that applying for <br />the funds did not guarantee awarding of those funds. <br />
