M. in the Commissioners' Room, Orange County Courthouse, in Hillsborough, North Carolina. Commissioners Present: Commissioner Anne Barnes, Chair, and Commissioners Norman Gustaveson, Norman Walker, Richard Whitted and pon Willhoit. Commissioners Absent: None Commissioner Barnes called the meeting to order. Agenda Item 1:Board Modification of Agenda ~,. - - - Commissioner Barnes announced,.a`r- agenda addendum and asked that it be considered prior to Agenda Item ~1.2,. Commissioner Willhoit moved to adopt the prdinance granting a Franchise r- L , ~~: to Village Cable of Orange County, Inc., to construct and maintain a Cable Television System within the unincorporated areas of Orange County, N. C., at this, the second reading of the Franchise. Commissioner Gustaveson seconded the motion. Vote: Ayes, 5; Noes, 0. Agenda Item 4: The Mana er Recommends Board Endorsement of Two Requestsfor_Supp_1_e_mental Funding from the State JJOP Council A. Tree House Week-end Counselor $2,775 B. Janus House Liaison Worker 2,000 The County Manager told the Board the State had notified his office there was $70,000 available for supplemental funding and that applying for the funds did not guarantee awarding of those funds.
