ITEM TO BE ADDED AT 2/9/2010 meeting 2 <br />Attachment <br />RES-2010-011 <br />,~~J~r~ ~~~ ~ a- ~ ~-~o <br />Added ate r~ <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />Resolution Giving Notice to All Candidates For The <br />Register of Deeds and Sheriff Positions in Orange County <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners, as authorized by North Carolina General Statute <br />153A-92, has set the starting salaries for the Sheriff. and Register of Deeds positions as <br />provided below. This will affect the individuals elected to these offices when they take office. <br />All other compensation elements including expense allowances are as set forth in the Orange <br />County Personnel Ordinance. <br />The starting salary for the Sheriffs position will be the minimum of Salary Grade 31 of the <br />Orange County Classification and Pay Plan. The minimum of Salary Grade 31 is $80,994. <br />• The starting salary for the Register of Deed's position will be the minimum of Salary Grade <br />29 of the Orange County Classification and Pay Plan. The minimum of Salary Grade 29 is <br />$73,377. <br />This Resolution will not be altered or amended until after the persons elected Sheriff and <br />Register of Deeds in the 2010 election for those positions take office.
