<br />h]INUTES <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMI55IONERS <br />h1ARCH 26, 1979 <br />The Oranye County Boat•d of Commissioners met in regular session <br />on Man day, Parch 26, at 7:30 p.m., in the Commissioners Room, of the <br />Orange County Courthouse, in Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br />Commissioners present:- Commissioner Richard 4lhitted, Chairman, <br />and Commissioners Norman Walker, Norman Gustaveson, Anne Barnes and <br />Don Willhoit. <br />The following items were added to the agenda: <br />Agenda Item 13: Letter from Southwest Community <br />Preservation Alliance <br />Agenda Item 15: Executive Session <br />The County Attorney announced Representative Hunt had sent him <br />a "Handbook for Nursing Home Advisory Committee Members", which he had <br />available for Board review. <br />Agenda Item 2: Minutes <br />Commissioner lillhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, to <br />approve the minutes of March 19, 1979, as corrected. Vote: a'ves, 5; <br />noes, 0. <br />Commissioner Barnes moved, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, <br />to approve the minutes of March 20, 1979, as corrected. Vote: ayes, 5; <br />noes, 0. <br />Agenda Item 3: Matters of Public Concern <br />No member of the audience wished to address the Board on items of <br />public concern. <br />Agenda Item 4: Count Animal Shelter <br />Mr, parker Reist, Chairman of Shelter Operations of APS, explained <br />the Animal Protection Society's proposed "Procedures for Operation <br />of the Orange County Animal Shelter". For copy of this proposal, see <br />page 306 of this book. <br />Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, <br />to authorize the County Attorney to draw up an agreement including <br />a fee schedule provision as recommended on page B of the "Procedures <br />for Operation of the Oi°ange County Animal Shelter", with the $5.00 <br />redemption foes being awarded to the county. Vote: ayes, Commissioners <br />Barnes, Willhoit and Gustaveson; noes, Commissioners E~lhit~ted and blalker. <br />
