4~~~ <br />MINUTES <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FEBRUARY 20, 1979 <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in regular session <br />on Tuesday, February 20, at 7:30 p.m., in the Superior Court Room, <br />of the Orange County Courthouse, Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br />Members present: Commissioners Richard Whitted, Norman Walker, <br />Norman Gustaveson, Don Willhoit and Anne Barnes. -. <br />The following items were added to the agenda: <br />Agenda Item 14: Report from Subcommittee <br />Agenda Item 3: Public Hearin <br />The Chairman calT.ed for a public hearing to consider a Final. .: <br />Assessment Resolution for financing certain paving assessments in the <br />Colonial Hills area.and called for public input on whether the State <br />improvements should be assessed on a front footage basis rather than <br />on a per acre or lot basis. <br />Mrs. King, a resident of Colonial Hills, spoke in favor of assessment _ <br />on a front footage basis. No other person in the audience spoke for or <br />against assessment on a front footage basis. <br />Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, <br />the Board adopt "Final Assessment Resolution Adopted b.y the Orange <br />County Board of Commissioners to Finance the Local Share of the Costs <br />of Paving North Carolina State Road #1819, Also Known as Adam's Place; <br />North Carolina State Road X1820, Also Known as Jefferson Drive; North <br />Carolina State Road X1821, Also Known as Washington Drive; and North <br />Carolina State Road X1822, Also Known as Kennedy Circle, in Eno Township, <br />Orange County, North Carolina.".Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br />Far copy of said resolution, see page 1132 of this book. <br />Agenda Item 2A: Items of Public Concern <br />Mr. Eddie Williams, representing Southern Triangle of Orange County, <br />read to the Board three resolutions.
