APPROVED 2/19/02 <br />MINUTES <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />January 16, 2002 <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Wednesday, January 16, <br />2002 at 7:30 p.m. in the F. Gordon Battle Courtroom in Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chair Barry Jacobs and Commissioners Margaret W. <br />Brown, Moses Carey, Jr., Alice M. Gordon and Stephen Halkiotis <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY PRESENT: Geoffrey Gledhill <br />COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: County Manager John M. Link, Jr., Assistant County Manager Rod <br />Visser and Clerk to the Board Beverly A. Blythe (All other staff members will be identified appropriately <br />below) <br />NOTE: ALL DOCUMENTS REFERRED TO IN THESE MINUTES ARE IN THE PERMANENT <br />AGENDA FILE IN THE CLERK'S OFFICE. <br />Reception honoring 15 living former Orange County Commissioners - 7 p.m. <br />As part of the celebration of the County's 250th anniversary, the Orange County Board of <br />Commissioners honored all the living former County Commissioners at a reception at 7:00 p.m. The list of <br />those in attendance and their years as a County Commissioner is printed below: <br />Carl M.
