Moore <br />TELEPHONE NUMBERS: <br />Hillsborough - 732 -8181 <br />Chapel Hill - 967-9251 <br />Durham - 688-7331 <br />Mebane - 227-2031 <br />PURPOSE: To approve a Contract Modification between Orange County and the Equal <br />Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) for services being performed during the <br />FFY 1999. <br />BACKGROUND: On October 6, 1998, the Boazd of Commissioners approved a <br />Worksharing Agreement between Orange County and the EEOC for the period from the <br />first (1st) day of October, 1998 to the thirtieth (30th) day of September, 1999. On <br />February 3, 1999, EEOC extended the original Contract, proposing payment to the <br />department in the amount of $27,700. That total amount received in FFY 1999 will be <br />determined by the department's processing and resolving 51 charges at a price of $500 <br />per chazge; providing intake services for 20 chazges at $50.00 per charge; and attending <br />EEOC-sponsored training for a reimbursement from EEOC of $1,200. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the <br />contract modification and authorize the Chair to sign the modification. <br />
