Bennett and Commissioners <br />Norman l~lalker end Henry S, Walker, <br />Members Absent: Commissioner William C, Rav and Tra A, Ward. <br />This meeting was held for the purpose of msetir~ jointly with the <br />Orange County Board of Elections to canvass the returns of the special <br />Fire District Eleatione held on June 3, 1972. <br />Returns filed by the registrars of the various preoincts indicated <br />the following results; <br />F1RE PRCTECTTON DISTRIf'T VOTES FOR VOTES AGAIPI5T <br />Orange Rural 343 47 <br />Eno Rural 16~ 28 <br />Efland Rural 2D5 37 <br />New Hope Rural 141} 1$ <br />No person appeared before the jointly assembled Boards to protest the <br />results of the elections. <br />Chairman Bennett then'decl'ared that by operation of law the New Hope <br />Rural Fire Protection District, the Orange Rural Fire Protection District, <br />the Efland Rural Fire Protection District and the Eno Rural Fire Protection <br />District are hereby created. <br />There being no further business to came before the Board the meeting <br />was adjourned. <br />Harvey D.
