Occupancy Tax Uses <br /> Resolution <br /> PURPOSE: To approve the Fiscal Year 2026-27 Budget Ordinances a n d County Fee <br /> Schedule, and approve and authorize the Chair to sign the Opioid Settlement Fund Spending <br /> Authorization Resolution and Occupancy Tax Uses Resolution. <br /> BACKGROUND: At the June 4, 2026 budget work session, the Board of County <br /> Commissioners made decisions regarding the County's FY 2026-27 budget. See the following <br /> attachments related to those decisions: <br /> • Attachment 1 — the Resolution of Intent to Adopt the FY 2026-27 Orange County Budget <br /> outlines the actions approved by the Board of County Commissioners on June 4, 2026 <br /> • Attachment 2 —the FY 2026-27 Budget Ordinance is the legislation implementing the FY <br /> 2026-27 Annual Operating Budget for Orange County, including Grants Project <br /> Ordinances <br /> • Attachment 3 — the FY 2026-27 County Fee Schedule <br /> • Attachment 4 — the spending authorization resolution for all Opioid Settlement Fund <br /> activities that are included in the Approved Budget. This meets the State's memorandum <br /> of understanding with the County on reporting spending in the Opioid Settlement Fund. <br /> • Attachment 5 — a resolution defining the County's intended uses of Occupancy Taxes for <br /> expenses in the Visitors Bureau Fund and General Fund. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: The financial impacts are as noted in the attachments. <br />
