Year-to - Date Budget Kirk Vaughn , (919 ) 245 -2153 <br /> Summary <br /> PURPOSE : To approve budget , grant , and capital project ordinance amendments for Fiscal Year <br /> 2025 -26 . <br /> BACKGROUND : <br /> Department on Aging <br /> 1 . The Department on Aging has received an additional award of $ 35 , 000 through the Central <br /> Pines Area Agency on Aging for State Fiscal Recovery Funds (SFRF ) Housing and Home <br /> Improvement Services - " Choosing Home " Project . This project is coordinated with the <br /> Housing Department to provide minor home repairs , mobility and accessibility <br /> improvements , and assistance for low- income older adults with property tax payments . <br /> The funds are to be expended by September 30 , 2026 . This additional award amount will <br /> continue to be leveraged along with $ 62 , 000 in Master Aging Plan ( MAP ) funding set aside <br /> to help make progress on the waitlist of older residents in need of urgent home repair <br /> assistance .
