Year-to-Date Budget Kirk Vaughn, (919) 245-2153 <br /> Summary <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget, grant, and capital project ordinance amendments for Fiscal Year <br /> 2025-26. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Department on Aging <br /> 1. The Department on Aging has received an additional award of$35,000 through the Central <br /> Pines Area Agency on Aging for State Fiscal Recovery Funds (SFRF) Housing and Home <br /> Improvement Services - "Choosing Home" Project. This project is coordinated with the <br /> Housing Department to provide minor home repairs, mobility and accessibility <br /> improvements, and assistance for low-income older adults with property tax payments. <br /> The funds are to be expended by September 30, 2026. This additional award amount will <br /> continue to be leveraged along with $62,000 in Master Aging Plan (MAP) funding set aside <br /> to help make progress on the waitlist of older residents in need of urgent home repair <br /> assistance.
