U -� oa�o oaa ; goo <br /> / I <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> PROVIDER APPRECIATION DAY <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> WHEREAS , organizations nationwide are recognizing childcare providers on May 8 , <br /> 2026 , through Provider Appreciation Day ; and <br /> WHEREAS , Provider Appreciation Day is an annual celebration that affords an <br /> opportunity to recognize the contributions of childcare providers to the overall health and <br /> welfare of our community and the essential role they play for our County ' s working <br /> families ; and <br /> WHEREAS , the early years of a child ' s life from birth to age five is the most critical time <br /> in a child ' s development in which the brain ' s architecture is built and early learning sets <br /> the trajectory for future success ; and <br /> WHEREAS , our childcare community provides critical care and education opportunities <br /> for Orange County' s young children , as well as support for social and emotional <br /> development ; and <br /> WHEREAS , our childcare community provides enrichment opportunities and nurtures <br /> development for children of all backgrounds ; and <br /> WHEREAS , our childcare providers form a vital building block of our local economy <br /> supporting Orange County' s families as they work ; and <br /> WHEREAS , our future depends on the quality of the early childhood experiences <br /> provided to young children today ; support for high -quality childcare represents a worthy <br /> commitment to our children ' s future ; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE , we , the Orange County Board of Commissioners , hereby proclaim <br /> May 8 , 2026 , as Provider Appreciation Day , affirming the important role our childcare <br /> community plays in support of our young children , their families , and our local economy , <br /> and urge all residents of Orange County to recognize childcare providers for their work . <br /> This the 5t" day of May , 2026 . <br /> J n Hamilton , Chair <br /> + Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> 17 52 <br /> °rt� (tat8�`� <br />
