It encourages older adults to take an active role in their health — advocating for <br /> themselves , accessing preventive care , and making informed decisions that support <br /> independence . <br /> The Board asks everyone to join us in honoring older adults ' contributions , exploring the <br /> many opportunities for staying active and engaged as we age , and highlighting the <br /> opportunities for purpose , exploration , and connection that come with aging .
