Jensen , <br /> North Carolina General Statutes requires the County Manager to file a letter with the Clerk <br /> to the Board of Commissioners designating an Acting County Manager during the County <br /> Manager' s temporary absence or disability . <br /> By this letter , I am designating Caitlin Fenhagen , Deputy County Manager , to serve as <br /> the Acting County Manager during my temporary absence or disability . This designation <br /> will allow Ms . Fenhagen to exercise the full scope of the County Manager' s duties during <br /> my absence and , thereby , ensure continuity of operations . <br /> The Statute also requires that this designation be approved by the Board of <br /> Commissioners .
