Year-to-Date Budget Kirk Vaughn, (919) 245-2153 <br /> Summary <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget, grant, and capital project ordinance amendments for Fiscal Year <br /> 2025-26. <br /> County Manager— Sustainability and Asset Management Services <br /> 1. The County has received an amendment to the Energy Efficiency Conservation Block <br /> Grant (EECBG)from the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) State <br /> Energy Office increasing the amount of the award to the County by $5,000 for a total of <br /> $196,051. This grant is to install rooftop solar at the Cedar Grove Community Center. <br /> Through this project, the County aims to showcase the practical benefits of solar power, <br /> including cost savings, energy efficiency, and environmental impact. Community-wide <br /> outreach efforts will highlight available rebates and tax credits that make solar adoption <br /> more affordable, encouraging broader participation.
