RES -2025 - 041 Attachment 2 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> RESOLUTION LEASING PROPERTY UP TO TEN YEARS <br /> Whereas, Orange County owns the Adult Day Health Center located at the Jerry M . Passmore <br /> Senior Center , 103 Meadowlands Drive , Hillsborough , NC 27278 , comprising approximately <br /> 3 , 550 conditioned square feet and approximately 750 square feet of patio space (the <br /> " Premises " ) ; and <br /> Whereas, Senior Care of Orange County , Incorporated , a North Carolina Nonprofit Corporation , <br /> desires to lease the Premises ; and <br /> Whereas, Senior Care of Orange County , Incorporated provides valuable services to the <br /> citizens and residents of Orange County valued at $ 3 , 846 . 00 per month and the lease and any <br /> renewal will reflect an in - kind payment ; and <br /> Whereas, Senior Care of Orange County should maintain as the first priority for the Adult Day <br /> Health Center the provision of services to Orange County residents ; and <br /> Whereas, North Carolina General Statute 160A-272 authorizes the lease of County. owned <br /> properties for terms of up to ten years upon resolution of the Board of Commissioners at a <br /> regular meeting after ten days ' public notice ; and <br /> Whereas, in consideration of the valuable services provided to the citizens and residents of <br /> Orange County by Senior Care of Orange County , Incorporated valued at $ 3 , 846 . 00 per month , <br /> the Board of Commissioners of Orange County desires to lease the Premises to Senior Care of <br /> Orange County , Incorporated , the required notice has been published and the Board of <br /> Commissioners is convened at a regular meeting ; <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Board of County Commissioners hereby approves <br /> the lease of the County property described above to Senior Care of Orange County , Incorporated <br /> for a term of five years commencing October 1 , 2025 , with a potential renewal term of five years , <br /> approves the signing of the lease , and directs the execution , registration , and filing of all <br /> necessary instruments accordingly . <br /> This the 4th Day of September , 2025 . <br /> imezett& Bedford , Chai <br /> rjr � x CQ4 Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> r. <br /> sA7 9 tie <br /> 'w ;ff� (iaca <br />
