1 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT <br /> Meeting Date: September 9, 2025 <br /> Action Agenda <br /> Item No. 11 <br /> SUBJECT: Orange Unified Transportation Board —Appointments Discussion <br /> DEPARTMENT: Board of Commissioners <br /> ATTACHMENT(S): INFORMATION CONTACT: <br /> Member and Applicant Summary Sheet Clerk's Office, 919-245-2130 <br /> Applications of Members for Reappointment <br /> Applications of Applicants <br /> Membership Roster <br /> Applicant Interest List <br /> Annual Work Plan <br /> PURPOSE: To discuss appointments to the Orange Unified Transportation Board. <br /> BACKGROUND: The Orange Unified Transportation Board (OUTBoard) advises the Board of <br /> County Commissioners and provides information and comments on major transportation issues. <br /> Specifically, the OUTBoard provides the Board of County Commissioners with recommendations <br /> regarding the overall planning and programming of transportation improvements in the County, <br /> including identification and prioritization of the County's roadway and transit needs along with <br /> associated costs and specific sources of funding; provision of recommendations to the Board <br /> regarding Federal and State legislation affecting transportation in Orange County; and exploration <br /> and suggestion of recommendations on innovative techniques and methods to improve the <br /> efficiency and capacity of existing and future transportation systems. <br /> The Board of County Commissioners appoints all twelve (12) members, with representation from <br /> each of the County's townships to the extent possible.
