Chapel Hill-Carrboro City <br /> Schools Board of <br /> Education Agenda <br /> Abstract <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget, grant, and capital project ordinance amendments for Fiscal Year <br /> 2022-23. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Emergency Services <br /> 1. The Emergency Services Department has received a grant through the North Carolina <br /> Emergency Management's Capacity Building Competitive Grant program for $335,000. <br /> The purpose of the grant is to ensure local emergency management offices are adequately <br /> equipped, trained, and prepared for all hazards and emergencies. These funds will be <br /> utilized to build a mobile command trailer for the Emergency Management Division. This <br /> budget amendment provides for the receipt of these funds in the Multi-Year Grant Fund, <br /> outside of the General Fund, and creates the following grant project ordinance: <br /> Emergency Management Capacity Building ($335,000) - Project# 71062 <br /> Revenues for this project: <br /> Current FY 2022-23 FY 2022-23 <br /> FY 2022-23 Amendment Revised <br /> Grant Funding $0 $335,000 $335,000 <br /> Total Project Funding $0 $335,000 $335,000 <br />
