The <br /> activities associated with this goal are summarized below: <br /> • January, 1987-Rural Buffer zoning district adopted. <br /> • June, 1987 - Assembly of Governments consensus on preserving open space in <br /> Rural Buffer. <br /> • November, 1987-Rural Character Study Committee appointed. <br /> • May,1990-Rural Character Study Committee adopts Conceptual Guidelines for <br /> Rural Buffer. <br />
