.T <br />G; ~ Attachment <br />~` l <br />~~ <br />Resolution Giving Notice to All Candidates For The <br />Register of Deeds and Sheriff Positions in Orange County <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners, as authorized by North Carolina General Statutes <br />153A-92, has set the starting salaries for the Sheriff and Register of Deeds positions as <br />provided below. This will affect the individuals elected to these offices when they take office. <br />All other compensation elements including expense allowances are as set forth in the Orange <br />County Personnel Ordinance. <br />• The starting salary for the Sheriff's position will be the minimum of Salary Grade 31 of the <br />Orange County Classification and Pay Plan. The minimum of Salary Grade 31 is $73,947. <br />• The starting salary for the Register of Deed's position will be the minimum of Salary Grade <br />29 of the Orange County Classification and Pay Plan. The minimum of Salary Grade 29 is <br />$66,992. <br />This Resolution will not be altered or amended until after the persons elected Sheriff and <br />Register of Deeds in the 2006 election for those positions take office.
