145 <br />MINUTES <br />NOVEMBER 15, 1994 <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on <br />Tuesday, November 15, 1994 at 7:30 p.m. in the OWASA meeting room at 400 Jones <br />Ferry Road, Carrboro, North Carolina. <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chair Moses Carey, Jr., and Commissioners <br />Alice M. Gordon, Stephen H. Halkiotis, Verla C. Insko and Don Willhoit. <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY PRESENT: Geoffrey Gledhill <br />COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: County Manager John M. Link, Jr., Assistant <br />County Managers Albert Kittrell and Rod Visser and Clerk to the Board Beverly <br />A. Blythe (Other staff members are identified appropriately below) <br />NOTE: ALL ITEMS REFERRED TO IN THESE MINUTES'ARE IN THE- PERMANENT AGENDA FILE <br />IN THE CLERK'S OFFICE <br />I. ADDITIONS OR CHANGES TO THE AGENDA <br />1. deleted item 6-A until December 20 meeting <br />2. removed 8-C from Consent Agenda to be considered immediately after <br />the Consent Agenda <br />3. added to the end of the agenda the two items left over from the <br />November 10 County Commissioners work session <br />4. moved the appointment of the Research Triangle Board members from <br />.he Consent Agenda to XI Appointments <br />II. AUDIENCE COMMENTS <br />A. MATTERS ON THE PRINTED AGENDA - NONE <br />B. MATTERS NOT ON THE PRINTED AGENDA <br />Chair Carey said that those who have indicated a desire to make <br />comments will be recognized at the appropriate time. <br />PUBLIC CHARGE <br />Chair Carey dispensed with the reading of the Public Charge. <br />III. BOARD COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Halkiotis noted that he represented the County <br />Commissioners at two functions this past weekend. Mildred Burkley, a <br />dedicated volunteer, was the recipient of the Pauli Murray Award. The other <br />function was the annual meeting of the Extension Homemakers. <br />IV.
