Commissioner Willhoit is
satisfied that these questions have been satisfactory answered.
In answer to a question from Commissioner Halkiotis about the protocols
which are in place, John Link indicated that there are written procedures on how
each farmer is allocated a spot, etc.
Commissioner Marshall expressed a concern for the new farmers in Orange
Gounty being provided a space to sell their produce since all farmers within a 50
mile radius are allowed to sell at this market.
Commissioner Hartwell pointed out that the proposed Town Commons provides
fewer spaces under shelter than is currently available.
Commissioner Marshall expressed a concern about spending money for
citizens who reside outside the County. There should be some way to make it clear
that Orange County farmers have access to the market.
Chairman Carey stated he does have a concern about economic development
