Would these persons become a block vote against all tea levies <br />voted on for schools? -- <br />II, Relating to Finance: <br />A, Who would have authority to call for arbitration of school currant <br />e~rpease budgets? <br />B, By whom would such arbitration be conducted, Orange or Alamance Court? <br />C, How would capital outlay funds be divided? <br />D. Must Orange County School Budget be approved by Alamanae County Board <br />of Commissioners? <br />Must Orange County Board of Covanissioners approve Alamanae County <br />School Budget? <br />E. What assurance would Orange County have that funds allocated far <br />benefit oP Orange County students be expanded far Chair benefit? <br />F, Would a portion of Alamance County Debt Service obligation be due <br />by Orange County? <br />In view of these and many more Questions the Board of Commissioners advised <br />Representative Smith that they were opposed to the bill in duestion. The Board <br />requested Representative Smith to do the following: <br />I, Secure a delay in final consideration of this bill before the House _.. <br />Committee on Lonal Government in order that the Orange County Board <br />of Eduoation might see if it and Alameaae County Board of Education <br />could reach an agreement over schools these children might atbend. <br />II, Esarcise every effort he could to see that this bill received an <br />unfavorable report from the Committee on Laaal Government. <br />III, If item ~2 above failed then see if the bill Gould be amended to expressly <br />indicate no financial consideration would move from Orange County to <br />Alamanoe County as a result of these students attending school in Alamance <br />County. <br />There being no further business to some before the Board the meeting was <br />adjourned, <br />Harvey D.
