September 8, 2008 <br />Barry Jacobs, Chair <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />PO Box 8189 <br />Hilisborough~, NC 27278 <br />Dear Commissioner Jacobs: <br />.RFCF_ `~ `~TEI~ <br />s~~ ~ ~ ~ zaos <br />Y- <br />At its meeting on September 3, 2008, the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Board of <br />Education approved the following resolution: <br />Be it, therefore, n:solved that the Board of Education urges the Orange <br />County Board of Commissioners to increase the school impact fees in <br />order to provide a source of funding to constnact new schools to keep <br />pace with the district's growing student population and the escalating cost <br />of construction. <br />Be It further resolved that fine Board of Education urges the Orange <br />County Board of Commissioners to cantinas to reimburse the impact fee <br />far newly constructed affordable housing. <br />We look forward to further discussion on this importan# topic at our joint meeting <br />on September 25, 2008. <br />Sincerely, <br />`-'~7Y-~/~-~-~- <br />Pamela S.
