Minutes <br /> The Board considered correcting and/or approving the minutes from September 16, 22, <br /> and 25, 2008 as submitted by the Clerk to the Board. <br /> Commissioner Nelson said that these meetings were so long ago that he cannot <br /> confirm whether or not the minutes are accurate. He said that when this was last discussed, <br /> Chair Jacobs suggested getting the minutes back in 4-6 weeks at least. He was willing to try <br /> this, but he now thinks that this is not working for him. He asked why it was taking so long to <br /> get minutes back. <br /> Clerk to the Board Donna Baker said that she gets them back and there is someone <br /> that reviews them. The transcriber does one a week and sometimes two a week. She said <br /> that the Board of County Commissioners has a lot of meetings and the minutes are almost <br /> verbatim, especially for public hearings. <br /> Commissioner Gordon said that she had a suggestion from a Commissioner-Elect to do <br /> a quick summary of minutes that is posted on the internet right away. She thinks that people <br /> are generally interested in the major items. She agreed with turning the minutes around within <br /> two weeks. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Nelson, seconded by Chair Jacobs to approve <br /> minutes for September 16, 22, and 25, 2008 and ask the Clerk from this point forward to get <br /> the minutes within two weeks of the meetings. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> Resolution Supporting Orange County School Board Reconsideration of <br /> Rental Fee for KidsCope at Hillsborough Elementary <br /> The Board considered adopting a resolution asking the Orange County School Board to <br /> reconsider its decision to charge rental fees to KidSCope for space traditionally occupied at <br /> Hillsborough Elementary. <br /> There was a salmon-colored sheet related to this item. <br />
