W. Barkor who presented a road petition for <br />SR 1127. Discussion ensued relative to said petition. ii <br />IIpon motion of Commissioner Henry Walker, seconded by Commissioner Ira A. <br />Ward, it was moved and adopted that the clerk forward said road petition to the <br />State Highway Department. <br />Chairman Bennett recognized Fred Cates, Mayer of the Town of Hillsborough. <br />Mayor Catee stated that he had been in contact with the State Highway Department <br />relative to securing an access road from I-8S into the West Hillsborough area ~ <br />and he wished tv have the support of :the Board oP Commissioners in his efforts <br />_ to obtain said road. Therefore, h® was r®auasting that the memo®rs of the Soard <br />accompany him bn an inspection.tour of SR 11l~8. <br />i <br />Chairman Bennett advised the Soard that the Highway Coxranission had advised <br />him that the Jack Phelps road had been scheduled for paving sometime in the <br />~• Doming pear. Discussion ensued relative to the road program for Orange County. <br />Tha Clerk was directed to write Mr. Welsh and request that a point meeting <br />be scheduled between representatives of the State Highway Commission and members <br />of the Board for the month of January, 1971.
